PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which can be rapidly manufactured with high accuracy without requiring costly equipment. SOLUTION: This interference filter has two sheets of optical substrates 5a and 5b which are formed with reflecting layers 6a and 6b on one-side surfaces facing each other, holders 7a and 7b which support the respective optical substrates 5a and 5b, soft microbeads 18 which are interposed between the optical substrates 5a and 5b and set the spacing between the substrates at a prescribed distance and actuators 8 which are arranged between the holders 7a and 7b and change the transmission spectral characteristics by displacing the spacing between the optical substrates held by the holders to a microspacing.
