METHOD OF SYNTHESIZING DIAMOND ON WC-Co SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of synthesizing diamond on a WC-Co substrate, by which the diamond having a strong adhesive force to the WC-Co substrate can be synthesized by a CVD method. SOLUTION: The method of synthesizing diamond on the WC-Co substrate comprises subjecting the surface of the WC-Co substrate to acid treatment, then immersing the treated WC-Co substrate to a suspension containing dispersed diamond particles, fixing seeds for the CVD diamond by an electrophoretic phenomenon, subjecting the substrate to a heat treatment, and synthesizing the diamond by the CVD method.
