FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, investment casting. SUBSTANCE: method involves making investment pattern from powder paraffin of 0.1-1.6 mm fraction; dispensing doses of investment material into injection mold in an amount sufficient for production of patterns with 1.5-3% porosity; pressing investment material without preheating by providing alignment of injection mold division surfaces. During pressing powder investment material is caked without substantial phase deformation processes with formation of open capillary porosity, which compensates expansion of pattern during heating thereof in the process of casting from ceramic enclosure. EFFECT: increased dimensional and geometric precision of investment patterns and ingots. 1 tbl
