FIELD: production of furniture. SUBSTANCE: furniture has casing 1 with back 2 and seat 3, extendable part with carcass 4 and cushion 5, guides 11 mounted on casing sides 10, to which carcass is attached. Transformation mechanism 6 is fixed on rigid base of cushion and on side sheet steel cylinders 7 of carcass 4. Supporting-guiding members 13 are attached to side sheet steel cylinders 7 and put on guides 11. When furniture is used for sitting, cushion 5 is positioned inside carcass 4 of extensible part, which is positioned under seat 3 so that extensible part and its members are held by guides 11 and supporting-guiding members 13 at predetermined distance from floor, when furniture is used for lying, cushion 5 is urged by transformation mechanism 6 to move under seat 3 and to be hinged up by at least one supporting lever of transformation mechanism 6 and held by means of supporting member 22 at such distance from floor that cushion surface forms together with seat surface single horizontal surface for lying. Each side sheet steel cylinder 7 and related supporting-guiding member 13 are arranged in single plane one under another. Bracket 23 is fixed at an angle to supporting member 22 of supporting lever so that it normally rests upon floor, and carcass 4 of extensible part is normally in horizontal position, when furniture is transformed from sitting position to lying position and vice versa.
