PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double metal cyanide catalyst having improved activity for producing a polyetherpolyol by the polyaddition reaction of an alkylene oxide to an active hydrogen atom-containing starting material. SOLUTION: The double metal cyanide catalyst comprises (a) at least one double metal cyanide compound, (b) at least one organic complex ligand other than components (c) and (d), (c) at least one polyether, and (d) at least one of a polyester, a polycarbonate, a polyakylene glycol sorbitan ester, a polyalkylene glycol glycidyl ether, glycidyl ether, a glycoside, a glycidyl ester of a polyhydric alcohol, a cyclodextrin, a phosphorus compound, an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, and an ionic surface active compound. |
