摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber array with microlenses which facilitates positioning regulation and improves optical coupling efficiency in assembling an optical fiber array module by using a plurality of the optical fibers with the lenses. SOLUTION: The optical fiber array with the lenses formed by holding and fixing a plurality of the optical fibers of the same diameter by optical fiber holding means for arraying these fibers in parallel at spaced intervals from each other in the same plane position consists of the optical fiber array structure which is arranged with the axial front ends of a plurality of the optical fiber terminals on the same straight line as the front end ridge line of the wedge shape formed at the array terminals and has an integrally inclined plane at the same angle as the front end angle of the wedge type array terminals. Further, the front ends of a plurality of the optical fibers integral with the wedge type array are provided with the axes parallel to the same straight line which is the straight line perpendicular to the optical fiber axes and connects the axial front ends of the respective optical fiber terminals as the central axes of the lenses and these front ends form a series of semi-cylindrical lens shapes having the prescribed curvature with the central axes of the lenses as their axes.
