PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink container capable of maintaining the ink ejecting property by keeping the negative pressure in an ink bag substantially constantly and capable of accurately detecting the ink residual amount in a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An ink bag 3 having flexibility for storing an ink is stored in a rectangular ink tank housing 5, with a lid 1 placed thereon. The ink bag is provided with plate-like members 2, 4, in contact internally with the planes. A first spring 6 and a second spring 8 as a plate spring are mounted between the plate-like members 2, 4 arranged parallel in an arc-like form with the warping directions provided oppositely. Since the first spring 6 and the second spring 8 are made of an alloy material having the super elasticity so that the stress is substantially constant even in the case of deformation, the negative pressure in the ink bag 3 can be kept constantly. |
