PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector capable of enhancing the uniformity of temperature distribution of a radiation plane detector and avoiding the stop of temperature control function. SOLUTION: This radiation detector comprises the radiation plane detector 20 for converting an incident radiation to an electric signal; a first endothermic/ exothermic element 4A discretely arranged on the back surface of the radiation plane detector; a second endothermic/exothermic element 4B discretely arranged on the back surface of the radiation plane detector; and controllers 2A and 3B for independently controlling the operations of the first and second endothermic/exothermic elements 4A and 4B.
