PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally operate a one-way clutch 8 by forming a structure wherein a strut 5 is not shallowly engaged with the recessed engagement part 7 of a notch plate 3, in a notch stator equipped with a slide plate 9 to regulate the rising action of the strut 5 when the stator is idling. SOLUTION: A chamfer-like escape part 13 is provided at the tip of the strut 5 in the structure of this stator, or the slide plate 9 does not cover all of the strut 5 but a part of it when the stator is idling in this structure, and a range L2 wherein the slide plate 9 covers the strut 5 when the stator is idling is set to be a half of the length L1 of the strut 5 or less.
