PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater for fusing a thermoplastic resin cord used in a coreless wound body manufacturing core unit suitable for manufacturing a coreless wound body having no tear trouble or winding disorder during usage. SOLUTION: The heater comprises a heating element 533 fixed on an external surface of a leaf 52 of the core unit 1 and an iron part 535 heated to a temperature slightly higher than a melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin cord T by the heating element 533, forming through holes H in the thermoplastic resin cord T at an innermost layer of the wound body R, and at the same time, thermally fusing the through holes together. The iron part 535 is detachably attached to the heating element 533, and its tip is formed sharply.
