PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge and a tape printer in which an ink ribbon can be prevented from sticking to a cartridge case thus bringing about an inappropriate carrying state. SOLUTION: The tape cartridge 10 comprises a case body 11, an ink ribbon supply section 60 disposed in the case body 11, an ink ribbon recovering section 70 for winding an ink ribbon R, and an ink ribbon carrying path 80 for introducing the ink ribbon R from the ink ribbon supply section 60 through a print position to the ink ribbon recovering section 70 wherein at least a part of the ink ribbon carrying path 80 is constituted between a wall part 97 formed in the case body 11 and the circumferential wall 11e of the case body 11 and the inner surface of the circumferential wall 11e is an unflat plane 129a.
