PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop molybdenum disulfide for projection, which can effectively reduce friction coefficient of the surface of a substance. SOLUTION: The material for projection containing molybdenum disulfide having the average grain size of about >=1μm, preferably, >=10μm in a ratio of about >=95 wt.%, preferably, >=98 wt.% is prepared. By projecting the material on the surface of a piston of an automobile engine at a high speed, the surface friction coefficient of the piston can effectively be reduced, so that the fuel efficiency of an automobile can be improved. |
