RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE CORD COVERING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire cord covering capable of sufficiently controlling the change of elasticity of a rubber by curing while fully keeping the fracture toughness of the rubber under a condition receiving thermal oxidation. SOLUTION: This rubber composition is prepared by adding following (A) to (E) to 100 pts.wt. rubber component comprising at least either one of a natural rubber and a diene synthetic rubber. (A) 0.1-10 pts.wt. styrenated diphenylamine, (B) 20-200 pts.wt. filler for rubber reinforcement, (C) 1-10 pts.wt. sulfur, (D) 0.1-10 pts.wt. adhesive resin obtainable by condensing a phenolic compound with formaldehyde, and (E) 0.2-20 pts.wt. hexamethylenetetramine or a melamine derivative.
