PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new phthalocyanine compound different in photoabsorption wavelength. SOLUTION: This new phthalocyanine derivative having an intramolecularly crosslinked crown ether ring is represented by formula (I) [wherein X is each independently hydrogen atom or an alkoxy group; Y is each independently hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; Z1 , Z2 , Z3 and Z4 are each a group selected from a group consisting of a group forming crown ether ring together with the other Z1 , Z2 , Z3 and Z4 , hydrogen atom and a halogen atom, with the proviso that the crown ether ring is formed of either one between Z1 and Z1 and between Z2 and Z2 and either one between Z3 and Z3 and between Z4 and Z4 ; n is an integer of 1-4].
