PURPOSE: Provided is a method for vehicle identification in toll collection system, which allows vehicle passing different type of base station to reasonably use the toll collection system. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (i) transmitting a vehicle identification number comprising a production firm code showing production firm of on-board unit, a product identification code showing inherent number of the on-board unit, and a vehicle information code showing model and number of vehicle having the on-board unit, to road side unit; and (ii) transmitting the vehicle identification number to terminal controller, so as to allow the terminal controller to identify the information of the on-board unit and vehicle. |
