PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a person from taking another person's baggage by mistake in receiving at a destination the person's baggage having been checked at a ticket counter of an airline company before boarding an airplane. SOLUTION: When a baggage is checked at a check counter, a staff of an airline company separates one tape into a sealing tape and a baggage check along perforations. The sealing tape is stuck on the baggage, and the baggage check is handed to a user. ID tags are attached to the sealing tape and the baggage check. The ID numbers of the both ID tags are the same except for the last numbers being '0' and '1'. When the user receives the baggage at the destination and passes near a reader/writer, the reader/writer communicates with the ID tag of the sealing tape stuck on the baggage and that of the user's baggage check, and compares the ID numbers of the ID tags. When the ID numbers of the ID tags are the same except for the last numbers being '0' and '1', it is judged that the baggage was received by a right person. When the ID numbers are different, an exit gate is closed to prevent the user from going out of the baggage claim area. |
