PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition used for a DNA transfection. SOLUTION: This new transfection reagent containing a conjugate consisting of a lipid and a basic membrane-injuring peptide and expressed by formula (I) (wherein, R<1> and R<2> are each selected from a group consisting of a hydrocarbyl part of a straight-chain or branched saturated or unsaturated aliphatic carboxylic acid and a phospholipid part; R<3> is a basic membrane-injuring peptide having a reversed amide main chain; Y is a 2-10C alkylene; and X is selected from a group consisting of C(O)NH, SS and their salts). The especially preferable compound is a compound in which R<1> and R<2> are each independently an acyl part of a 12-20C carboxylic acid and especially R<1> and R<2> are each oleoyl. Further, the method of the transfection is shown by using the compound of this invention together with an amino acid concentrate having a form of a protein hydrolysate to reinforce the transfection efficiency and DNA complex formation. |
