摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an image reader in an image detection system to perform quick scanning without increasing costs in the case of using the reader for chemical emission, an electronic microscope, radiation diffraction, fluorescence, etc. SOLUTION: The image reader is provided with a stage 20 on which laser excitation light sources 1 to 3 and an image carrier 22 are loaded, a photo multiplier 30 for photoelectrically detecting light emitted from the image carrier 22 and an optical head 15 for condensing laser light into the image carrier 22 loaded on the stage 20, condensing light emitted from the image carrier 22 and guiding the light to the photo multiplier 30. The optical head 15 is constituted so as to be two-dimensionally moved in a surface parallel with the stage 20. A perforated concave mirror 14 fixed in an optical path of laser light and forming a hole 13 at the center part is arranged so that the laser light can be passed through the hole 13, light condensed by the optical head 15 is reflected and the optical path of the reflected light is branched from the optical path of laser light emitted from the laser excitation light source toward the optical head 15.
