PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint mechanism capable of inexpensively connecting a driving shaft of an electric motor and a driven shaft rotated and driven by the driving shaft without generating slapping sound, and a steering operation assisting device using the joint mechanism. SOLUTION: The driving shaft 60 of the electric motor 6 and a worm shaft 70 are connected through the joint mechanism 8. In this joint mechanism 8, the driving shaft 60 and the worm shaft 70 are respectively provided with large parts 6a, 7a and small parts 6b, 7b. A first coil spring 81 is wound on the large parts 6a, 7a of the shafts 60, 70, and a second coil spring 82 having reverse winding to the first coil spring 81, is wound on the small parts 6b, 7b. |
