PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stairs for a scaffolding capable of ensuring a horizontal tread at all times even in the case of a wide or narrow space between a mounting surface and a horizontal member as the place of engagement. SOLUTION: The stairs for the scaffolding are composed of upper-side supporting materials 1 extended in an oblique lower section under the state in which the supporting materials are engaged with a handrail by hooks 20, lower-side supporting materials 13 disposed in parallel with upper-side supporting materials 11 at lower places opposed to the upper-side supporting materials 11, leg sections 17 rotatably supported at the lower end sections of both supporting materials 11 and 13 and a plurality of steps 15 parallel with the leg sections 17. Even when angles to the mounting surfaces for both supporting materials are changed with the variation of the spaces among the horizontal members and the mounting surfaces under the state in which the leg sections are secured on the mounting surfaces by parallel crank mechanisms constituted of both supporting materials 11 and 13, the leg sections 17 and the steps 15, the angles of inclination of the steps are held in parallel at all times to the leg sections.
