<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry sheets in stable states, regardless of the sheets in separated states or the sheets within a cassette. SOLUTION: This sheet carrying device 80 is provided with feed roller 4 and retard roller 5 for carrying sheets P supplied by a pickup roller 2 for supplying the sheets P, a sensor 12 for detecting passing of the sheets P in the vicinity of the roller 4, a sensor 13, a pair of registration rollers 6, CPU 20 and rotational speed control part 22 for decreasing sheet carrying speed of the roller 4 when the sensor 12 detects the sheets after the pickup roller 2 starts a sheet supplying operation and increasing the sheet carrying speed of the roller 4 when the sensor 12 does not detect the sheets, and a CPU for setting sheet supply starting time of the pair of registration rollers 6 based on a distance of the sensor 13 and the pair of registration rollers 6, a bending amount of the sheets and sheet carrying speed of the roller 4 when the sensor 13 detects the sheets.</p> |
