PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic gasket easy in installation and removal to and from a bolt, and having no possibility of moving and falling off regardless of the direction of an installing surface. SOLUTION: This metallic gasket A is formed by laminating metallic base boards a1 and a2 . A bolt engaging piece 3a projecting so that a bolt hole becomes smaller than a diameter of the fastening bolt and an operational auxiliary piece 3b integral with this bolt engaging piece are formed by cutting-in work in a base board part in the vicinity of the bolt hole 3 of the metalling base board a1 . A cutout recessed part 4 is formed in the base board part overlapping with the auxiliary piece 3b on the metallic base board a2 . Thus, when inserting the bolt into the bolt hole 3 of the metallic gasket A, the bolt engaging piece 3a is applied to the bolt, and is elastically deflected to allow the passing of the bolt. The gasket installed on the bolt is held in an installing position by the pressing-down action to the bolt by elastic resiliency of the bolt engaging piece 3a. The metallic gasket can be easily removed by separating the bolt engaging piece 3a from a screw part of the bolt by lifting the auxiliary piece 3b by fingertips. The recessed part 4 of the metallic base board a2 is useful for facilitating operation of the auxiliary piece 3b.
