PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a packaging device for an electrical apparatus, a gas appliance or the like for supporting, mounting and protecting the apparatus, the appliance or the like wherein a paper-based material is mainly used and a minimum molded member such as an expanded polystyrene is used to hold a packed machine mainly in a region requiring cushioning properties so that the packaging device is excellent in cushioning properties and pressure resistance, and a packaging quality is reliably kept. SOLUTION: A cushioning member 12 is provided at corners inside a lower case 11 which has an approximately dish-like outward form, a corrugated fiberboard base 13 which is formed like a box approximately at the center of the lower case 11 and has a through opening 13a through both upper and lower surfaces is provided to be held by the cushioning member 12, and a pair of opposite cushion holding members 14 are inserted into and fixed to the through opening 13a of the base 13.
