PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitheft device for golf club capable of being easily operated and produced at a low cost. SOLUTION: This antitheft device for golf club comprises a holding member 12 openable between a closed position for disabling a golf club 28 to be withdrawn and an open position for releasing the golf club 28. The holding member 12 comprises a first member 18 and a second member 20 openably connected to each other. One end part 14a of a hook member 14 allowed to hook on a golf bag 58 is rotatably fitted to the base end part 22 of the first member 18. A rod 44 is fitted to the other end part 14b of the hook member 14. A lock body 42 forming a dial lock in combination with the rod 44 is fitted to the tip part 36 of the first member 18. An engagement part 46 is fitted to the tip part of the second member 20. The engagement part 46 comprises a through hole 56 allowing the rod 44 to pass therethrough. A cushioning material 35 is installed on the holding member 12 at a portion coming into contact with the golf club 28. With the rod 44 passed through the through hole 56, the rod 44 is lockingly engaged with the lock body 42.
