PURPOSE: A virtual desktop for a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) is provided to expand the market of the PDA by activating the use of a PDA phone and making the PDA easily applied to the everyday life, to lead the era of the popularized PDA, to bridge the wireless Internet era, and to maximize the usability of the PDA by connecting the PDA with a PC. CONSTITUTION: A virtual keyboard is realized by using a PC keyboard directly as a PDA character input unit. A virtual mouse is realized by using a PC mouse directly as a PDA pen pointer. The virtual sound is realized by using the sound system of the PC as the sound system of the PDA. A virtual screen is realized by using the screen of the PDA as an expansion screen of the PC. The virtual screen interlocks with the virtual mouse. A virtual messenger makes a message put into the PDA connected with the PC. The virtual messenger is controlled by the PC. A virtual multimedia player is realized by processing the visual part from the PDA and the sound part from the PC.
