PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for detecting the ink residual amount using a dot counting method, capable of certainly initializing a dot counting operation at the time of ink tank replacement and capable of grasping the ink residual amount stepwise. SOLUTION: In the case an imaging apparatus detects the dot counting value exceeding the ink tank storage amount, it warns an information processing unit of failure in execution of initialization of the dot counting value at the time of ink tank replacement. The information processing unit displays a screen for requiring initialization of the dot counting value so that the dot counting value can be initialized from the screen, and the information thereof is transmitted to the imaging apparatus. Moreover, in the case an image recording apparatus detects the ink residual amount to be reduced according to use stepwise at the time of ink tank replacement, the ink residual amount is displayed stepwise on the screen of the information processing unit for warning so as to facilitate preparation for ink tank replacement. |
