PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image carrier whose wear and abrasion resistance is improved, which is constituted so that deviation is hardly caused in the abrasion loss of its surface, whose durability is maintained over a long term and by which a stable excellent image is obtained, and an image forming device equipped with the image carrier. SOLUTION: As for a photoreceptor (image carrier) where a photoreceptive layer 2 is formed on a conductive supporting body, a protective layer constituted by incorporating particles is formed on its surface, and its film thickness is monotonously changed in its longitudinal direction. By such constitution, the wear and abrasion resistance of the photoreceptor is improved. Even when the deviation is caused in the abrasion loss of the surface of the photoreceptor, it is compensated with the difference of the film thickness of the protective layer in the longitudinal direction of the photoreceptor, whereby the durability is maintained over a long term and the stable excellent image is obtained. |
