PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a healthy food or a medicine as a prophylactic agent fop osteomalacia. SOLUTION: The objective prophylactic agent for osteomalacia characteristically includes the mycelium extract from the mycelium cell bodies of a fungus in Basidiomycetes. The mycelium extract is preferably prepared by inoculating a basidiomycete to a solid culture medium including bagasse as a base material to proliferate the mycelium, loosening the solid medium including the proliferated mycelium, admixing water and a kind of or two or more kinds of enzymes selected from cellulases or proteases, as the solid medium is kept at 30-50 deg.C, crushing and grinding the solid medium in the presence of enzymes to extract the essence of the mycelium of basidiomycete and sterilizing the extract to deactivate the enzymes. As a basidiomycete, is preferably cited Cortinellus shiitake, Hericium erinaceus, Flammulina velutipes and Ganoderma lucidum. |
