PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start and operate a heat pipe without converting the posture of the same upon starting under a gravity, in a loop type heat pipe. SOLUTION: The heat pipe is constituted of an evaporator 13, a steam pipe 3, a condenser 8 and a liquid returning pipe 4, which are formed into a loop and inside of which an operating fluid 5 is sealed. This pipe comprises a wick 2, through which the operation fluid 5 is passed and which is arranged between the inlet at the side of the condenser and the outlet at the side of the steam pipe of the evaporator 13, a porous partitioning plate 6, arranged on the half way of the steam pipe 3, and a heater 7 for heating the operating fluid 5 at the condenser side of the porous partitioning plate 6 upon starting. |
