PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store high temperature hot water in the whole of the volume of a hot water storage tank for a heat pump hot water supply apparatus. SOLUTION: The heat pump hot water supply apparatus comprises a refrigerant circuit where a compressor 1, a radiator 2, a pressure reducing device 3, and an evaporator 4 are interconnected, in the order; a hot water supply circuit where a hot water storage tank 5, a circulation pump 6, and a hot water feed heat exchanger 7 having a heat exchange relation to a radiator 2 are interconnected, in the order; a refrigerant control means 9 to control the valve opening of the pressure reducing device 3 such that the discharge refrigerant temperature of the compressor 1 is adjusted to a set temperature A; a water quantity control means 11 for controlling a water circulation flow rate of a hot water feed circuit such that a hot water temperature at the outlet of the hot water feed heat exchanger 7 is adjusted to a set temperature B; and a set temperature control means 13 to vary the set temperature A by detecting that a water temperature at the inlet of the hot water supply heat exchanger 7 reaches a set temperature C. Operation is continued until water in a hot water and cold water mixing layer area right before completion of boiling up is brought into a high temperature hot water state, and high temperature hot water is stored up to the lower part of the hot water storage tank. Namely, high temperature hot water is stored I the whole of the volume of the hot water storage tank. |
