摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a buried type plastic optical waveguide which is easily manufactured and has a low optical transmission loss. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a buried type plastic optical waveguide is characterized in it that the method includes a process in which a clad layer made of a photosensitive transparent resin is formed, a process in which a hollow groove part as a core part is formed by irradiating the clad layer with light and developing, a process in which the core part is formed by filling the hollow groove part with a non-photosensitive transparent resin having a refractive index larger than that of the clad layer resin, and a process in which another clad layer made of a resin having a refractive index smaller than that of the resin of the core part is formed on the above-described clad layer and the core part.
