<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake capable of reducing squeal in proceeding in either direction. SOLUTION: This disc brake comprises a brake pad 2 disposed at a facing position to a disc rotor 1, a torque bearing member 3 to movably support the brake pad 2 in the perpendicular direction to the disc rotor 1, and a piston 4 movable in the perpendicular direction to the disc rotor 1. It also comprises a pressing device 5 for pressing the brake pad 2 to the disc rotor 1 by a piston 4. The brake pad 2 is moved to a trailing side by friction with the disc rotor 1, so that contact surface pressure of the piston 4 on the trailing side to the brake pad 2 becomes larger than contact surface pressure on a leading side to the brake pad 2.</p> |
