PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger for vehicle or an intercooler, facilitated in the manufacture of the same and small in the size while excellent in the efficiency and low in the cost of the same. SOLUTION: The intercooler 300 (heat exchanger for vehicle) employing carbon dioxide refrigerant or the like is provided with a belt type high-pressure strip tube 301 having a refrigerant flow passage for conducting a high- temperature and high-pressure refrigerant to flow therethrough, a belt type low strip tube 302 having another refrigerant flow passage for conducting a low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant to flow through the same, respective high-pressure headers 303a, 303b, connected to both terminals of the high- pressure strip tube 301 and respective low-pressure headers 304a, 304b connected to both terminals of the low-pressure strip tube 302. The high-pressure strip tube 301 and the low-pressure strip tube 302 are constituted so as to be formed by being fitted and brazed mutually in a plane. The intercooler 300 is configured so as to have a flat or U-shape while respective headers 303a, 303b, 304a, 304b are constituted so as to be capable of being integrated while mating with the configuration of the intercooler 300.
