PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-cleaner of a simple constitution, in which a wall surface is protected from soil. SOLUTION: The air cleaner is provided with a casing 1 and an electrostatic dust collector 2 installed in the casing to perform positive discharge. A negative discharge part 3 is provided on the back side of the dust collector 2 in the casing 1 to carry out negative discharge against the positive discharge of the precipitator 2. Thus, the absolute value of the back potential of the casing 1 to be induced by the positive discharge of the dust collector 2 is reduced.
