PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small gas turbine engine system incorporating a chemical exhaust heat recovery system. SOLUTION: This gas turbine system comprises a turbine 7 rotated by the combustion of combustion gas and discharging turbine exhaust gas, a reformer 1 installed adjacent to the turbine 7, and a casing 17 for storing the turbine 7 and the reformer 1. The reformer 1 comprises first flow passages 1c and 1p and a second flow passage. The first flow passages 1c and 1p allows the turbine exhaust gas 5 to pass therethrough. The second flow passage allows the mixture of fuel gas 3 and water vapor 4a to enter thereinto. The mixture can be converted into the combustion gas 3a by heat transfer from the turbine exhaust gas 5 at least partially adjacent to the first flow passages 1c and 1p and passing the first flow passages 1c and 1p.
