PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight aluminum-alloy tribology-applied product having self-lubricating surface, excellent dimensional accuracy and excellent mechanical properties, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The lightweight parts having self-lubricating surface consist of: (a) a structural member formed by subjecting a power mixture which is a mixture of pure-metal power and/or alloy power and whose overall composition becomes an aluminum-alloy composition specified by JIS or alloy power which has an aluminum-alloy composition specified by JIS to sintering by pulsed electric heating under pressurization; (b) a self-lubricating surface member formed by subjecting a mixture consisting of 5-30 mass% of powdered solid lubricant and/or powdered solid lubricant whose surface is coated by electroless plating treatment and the balance copper or Cu-Sn-type copper-alloy powder to sintering by pulsed electric heating under pressurization; and (c) an intermetallic-compound layer formed in the interface between the above (a) and (b) by sintering by pulsed electric heating under pressurization.
