PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion with a high concentrations of particulate titanium oxide which does not exhibit pallidness while maintaining high UV shieldability and high visible light transmittability when the dispersion is compounded with cosmetics such as sunscreen cream. SOLUTION: This dispersion is characterized in that the grain size distribution of the particles of <=1μm in the dispersion particles of the particulate titanium oxide dispersed in a medium is >=80%.
