METHOD OF COOLING PIPE PROVIDED WITH COAT

FIELD: application of coats on pipes having projecting profiles of weld seams. SUBSTANCE: pipe coated with hot plastic coat is cooled by applying cooling liquid medium on inner surface of pipe. Cooling medium may be applied by nozzle or from truck kept at excessive pressure which is stationary relative to surrounding medium and is movable inside pipe relative to its sections which pass in succession through coat applying points and cooling points. Availability of recharging unit makes it possible to pass cooling medium under pressure. Recharging unit moves forward and backward in parallel with longitudinal direction; it is provided with connecting part which is movable between retracted and extended positions.
