PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording method producing an image of high image quality in an apparatus of electrophotographic system having an ink jet printer in which high speed printing can be realized through a convenient apparatus for spot color print. SOLUTION: The recorder comprises a first recording process including a step for forming an electrostatic latent image on an image carrier depending on image information, a step for developing the electrostatic latent image to form a developer image, and means for transferring the developer image to a recording material, and a second recording process for forming an image by ejecting ink containing a coloring material from fine holes to the recording material depending on the image information. Prior to ejection of the coloring material ink in the second recording process, a liquid containing an image quality improving agent is applied to the vicinity of a part for applying the coloring material ink on the recording material. |
