PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous pigment ink composition set using an ink set of at least four colors, which comprises at least a colored material, a water soluble organic solvent, a water soluble amino acid, a surfactant and water capable of preventing color spreading, color bleeding and feathering in a different color boundary on a recording medium comprising especially paper, and to provide a recording method of an ink jet using the same. SOLUTION: In an aqueous pigment ink composition set comprising at least four colors, each ink contains a water soluble amino acid and a nonionic surfactant, which shows the maximum value for surface tension of the black, the minimum value for that of the yellow and a smaller numerical value than the black and a larger numerical value than the yellow for that of the Magenta and cyanogen in the ink set, therefore the ink set used can prevent effectively color spreading, color bleeding and feathering in a different color boundary on a recording medium comprising especially paper. |
