METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLDED PRODUCT OF FIBROUS MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a molded product of a fibrous material which is almost free from voids and shows superior mechanical strength such as bending strength and can be easily molded into a wide article or a long article at a low cost. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced resin foam comprises the steps of making a plurality of fibrous materials 5 with a deposited stock solution of an expandable heat-curable resin pass through a molding space 4 between a first and a second opening 4a and 4b of a mold 1, then curing the stock solution near the first opening 4a and sequentially curing the stock solution deposited on the fibrous material 5 from the first opening 4a side as a starting point so that the start of a curing process of the stock solution is progressively delayed according to the proximity of a region to the second opening 4b, after the neighborhood of the first opening 4a is set in a non-air permeable state.
