PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which can use a high-performance computer, without being limited by the size or the power-supply capacity of an apparatus. SOLUTION: In the navigation system, a portable telephone terminal 1 and a positional-information detection server 8 are connected via a radio communication network. At the terminal 1, a GPS reception part 33, which generates positional information and a portable-telephone function part 32 which transmits the positional information to the server 8 via the radio communication network and in which the high-accuracy positional information received from the server 8 is presented to a user are installed. At the server 8, a high-accuracy position information calculation module 17, which generates high-accuracy positional information on the basis of the positional information received from the terminal 1 and in which the generated high-accuracy positional information is transferred to a client system via the radio communication network, is installed. |
