PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and reduce the weight of a linear actuator and improve the workability when connecting an external pipe thereto by reducing the longitudinal direction of the actuator. SOLUTION: This linear actuator is provided with a slider 24 displacing under a driving action of a drive part 22, a base member 26 linearly guiding the slider 24, end blocks 28a and 28b connected to the ends of the base member, adjustment screw members 66 provided in the end faces of the end blocks 28a and 28b and adjusting the stroke quantity of the slider 24, a plate member 74 to be inserted in the end blocks 28a and 28b, and lock screw members 76a and 76b fixing the plate member 74 to the end blocks 28a and 28b.
