PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability by preventing floating of a main body and deformation of a casing when a door is forcedly opened to exceed a prescribed opening degree. SOLUTION: This opening device is provided with the door 3 provided on an opening 2 of a building, and a floor hinge 4 comprising the main body 9, contained in the casing 10, having a shaft 8 to pivotally support a lower end of the door 5, and having a function to energize the door 3 in a closing direction through the shaft 8, and a decorative plate 13 sealing an upper end opening 11 of the casing 10. A connection member 20 is provided over mutually facing side parts of the upper end opening 11 for preventing uplift of the main body 9 and deformation of the casing 10.
