PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that a rolling stock is required to be stopped for the purpose of measurement to worsen the working efficiency in a conventional wheel weight measuring instrument, and that an instrument price is high because four load cells are used for the measurement of the weight of one wheel in the conventional wheel weight measuring instrument. SOLUTION: In this instrument capable of measuring wheel weight during travel, the wheel weight under the travel is measured from the advance of the wheel to a measuring rail up to the retreat thereof using one load cell by supporting the measuring rail capable of measuring the wheel weight during the travel with a linear guide, and a wheel weight value is calculated by least square.
