PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a console box capable of sliding a lid body with a light operation force. SOLUTION: This console box 1 is equipped with a base 10 rotatably installed on a vehicle, the lid body 20 slidable with respect to the base 10, an energizing device 30 for energizing the lid body 20 to a vehicular forward direction with respect to the base 10 all the time, a locking device 40 for locking the lid body 20 on the base 10, and a lock release device 50 provided on the lid body 20. The lid body 20 is installed rotatably along a vertical direction of the vehicle at a rear end side of the base 10. It is possible to slide and rotate the lid body simultaneously when opening the lid body.
