METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COMPOSITE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a composite material containing ceramics and metal. SOLUTION: Stearic acid is added to ceramic particles and metal particles (a mixing step S1). The stearic acid acts as a lubricant for reducing frictional resistance between a die assembly and both particles in a compacting step S2. The resultant green compact is sintered in a sintering step S3 and formed into the composite material as a product.
