<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for protecting the leg of an occupant capable of having a high flexibility of arrangement and expanding an air bag in a desired wide developing range. SOLUTION: An area as a cover of which an upper side is partitioned by a tear line 12 and a lower side is partitioned by a hinge part 14 is provided on an interior panel 10. When the air bag 4 expands, the tear line 12 is broken by an expansion pressure, and the area as the cover bends from the hinge part 14 and the upper side starts to open in a flap shape. The air bag 4 is guided by the area as the cover of the interior panel 10, expands upward along the interior panel 10, and expands and develops from a lower position than the knee of the occupant to the front of the knee.</p> |
