ELECTRIC BRAKE DEVICE OF PERMANENT MAGNET TYPE WIND POWER GENERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size and weight of a mechanical brake device in a permanent magnet type wind power generator, and to decelerate a rotation of a windmill and maintain a stopping state of the windmill without demagnetization of a rotor magnetic pole (permanent magnet) of the generator. SOLUTION: The device brakes the permanent magnet type wind power generator, and comprises: a rotor 1a including the permanent magnet rotating together with the windmill 1; and the generator 2 having an armature circuit 3 arranged to be opposite to the rotor 1a. In this device, first and second short- circuit devices 4 and 4a for braking arranged in the armature circuit 3 are provided. The first short-circuit device 4 short-circuits the armature circuit 3 in order to maintain the stopping state of the windmill 1, and the second short-circuit device 4A includes an impedance 7 serially connected to a short- circuit switch, and short-circuits the armature circuit 3 in order to decelerate the windmill 1 which is rotating.
