PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module whose productivity is high. SOLUTION: The optical module is provided with at least a semiconductor laser 6, a first sphere lens 1 which collimates emitted light from the semiconductor laser 6, and a second sphere lens 2 for optically connecting the collimated light to an optical fiber 14, and a matching operation of the semiconductor laser 6, the optical axis of the first lens 1, and the optical axis of the second lens 2 is eliminated by mounting these on one and the same base plate.
